Relay For Life of Greenwood

On Saturday, June 19th - Sunday, June 20th from 10:00am - 10:00am at the Greenwood Middle School track, the City of Greenwood will be participating in the Relay for Life of Greenwood.  Relay for Life is the most successful fundraising event in the nation and is the signature event of the American Cancer Society.  Everyone is encouraged to participate.  For more information on this event, please click here.  People can help by going to the Greenwood Chili's on every Wednesday until June 2, 2010 by handing them this flyer.  Oaken Barrel will be hosting, "Lights Out For A Cure" on Wednesday, May 26 from 5:00 p.m. - close.  For more info on this, please click here.
Fry Road Closing

Fry Road between US31 & Madison Ave. will be closed to through traffic on April 8, 2010 at the bridge over Pleasant Creek (approx. 550ft. west of Madison Ave). Two-way traffic will be maintained between Madison Ave. and Riverside Drive, on the east side of Pleasant Run Creek.  Two-way traffic will also be maintained on the west side of the creek between US31 and "Extra Space Storage".  For updated status on the project, go to www.fryroadrecon.com.  To see a copy of the letter sent to area business owners, please click here.  For questions about the project, you may contact Greenwood City Engineer, Mark Richards at richardma@greenwood.in.gov or by phone at 317-887-5230.
