Greenwood Freedom Festival
On Saturday, June 27, 2009, the City of Greenwood will once again be hosting the Greenwood Freedom Festival. Each year, this free community event draws more than 40,000 people from Greenwood, the Indianapolis South Side, and surrounding regions, and continues to grow into one of the largest one-day festivals of its kind in the local area. The Greenwood Freedom Festival offers a parade, food & business vendors, Old Towne Merchants Association Street Fair, live entertainment, concerts, Kids' Fairs, fireworks and much, much more. Picnic in the Park

Kickoff the beginning of summer vacation with a Picnic in the Park. Children and adults of all ages are invited to the Greenwood Amphitheater, Surina Square Park on Friday, June 5 @ 6:00 pm for a fun filled evening. There will be music and free food for the 1st 200 people. This year's menu includes hot dogs, chips, drinks, and dessert. To participate, please meet at the Greenwood Amphitheater on the day of the event.
