Jeannine Myers is the Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Greenwood. Jeannine has been serving in the Clerk-Treasurer's office since November 2003, first as the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer and then as Clerk-Treasurer. This is the first elected office Jeannine has held. A life long resident of Indiana, she has resided in Greenwood for 27 years with her husband Jon. They have two daughters. Jeannine has many years of experience in government having held Administrative Assistant positions at the State Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Johnson County Recorder's Office, Johnson County Highway Department, Greenwood Engineering Department and the Greenwood Police Department where she served for seven years.
As the Clerk-Treasurer, Jeannine is responsible for the overall collection and disbursement of funds, the administration of the accounting system, preparation of monthly reports to the Council and all City Council Minutes. Jeannine works very closely with all departments of city government to insure the city runs in the most efficient manner in order to provide the best services for the citizens of Greenwood. Her goal has always been to make informed decisions that are in the best interest of the city. She maintains the Clerk-Treasurer's office, an office that is accessible to all city employees as well as the public. Jeannine is committed to continually improving the Clerk-Treasurer's office, having implemented a new computer system for financial recordkeeping and reporting, adding the Direct Deposit option for city employees' paychecks, and scanning of files such as City Ordinances and Budgets to make them computer searchable. She is dedicated to continuing education, attending Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurer's education classes and institutes, State Board of Accounts Annual Training Schools, and the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Annual Conference. Jeannine has completed all requirements for the Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk Certification. |
