Greenwood Mayor Mark Myers Elected 2017-18 Indiana Conference of Mayors President
Richmond Mayor Dave Snow elected vice-president

INDIANAPOLIS – At its annual meeting held last month in South Bend, the Indiana Conference of Mayors (ICOM) elected Greenwood Mayor Mark Myers president of the organization. Myers took office immediately and will serve for one year in the position.

"I value the time I spend learning from other Hoosier mayors. Leading our organization gives me great pride, and I look forward to helping our group communicate the innovation and creativity occurring each day in Indiana’s cities," Myers said. "It really is an exciting time as cities invest more in place making and attracting the talent we need to be successful. Being at the forefront of this transition and positioning our cities for success is what ICOM is all about."

Richmond Mayor Dave Snow was elected by ICOM members to serve as the group's vice-president. Myers is currently serving in his second term as Greenwood mayor, while Snow was first elected to serve as Richmond's mayor in November 2015.

"I am honored to have been nominated by my fellow mayors to serve in this role. Richmond is on the verge of its next great Renaissance and this opportunity provides a captive audience of Indiana mayors with whom I can share our history, and our vision for the future. More importantly, it provides a network of resources and education to overcome some of the obstacles we have here at home. My goal is to utilize this role to help Richmond grow and succeed." Snow said.

Formed in 1998, the Indiana Conference of Mayors (ICOM), is an affiliate of Aim, the advocacy group for Indiana’s cities and towns. Its purpose is to give special focus on the needs and concerns of the elected chief executives of Indiana’s 120 cities.
