GREENWOOD, Ind. – Today the City of Greenwood announced it will host its annual Halloween trick-or-treat event, Monster Mash, at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, and the third annual Halloween Parade in downtown Greenwood Saturday, Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.
“Year over year, the beloved Monster Mash and the Halloween Parade provide a fun, community-focused and safe environment for families to celebrate Halloween in Greenwood,” said Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers. “Residents and visitors are drawn to the exceptional quality-of-life events. This has clearly become a fall favorite.”
Monster Mash will take place along Craig Park’s Play Pocket Trail. Starting at 6 p.m., costumed attendees will enjoy music, hayrides, bounce houses, and visit vendors along the trick-or-treat trail. Partnerships for vendors along the trail are still available through October 14.
Monster Mash VIP hour tickets are still available for $5. VIP tickets allow for early access from 4:30 – 6 p.m. and include one hot dog dinner per ticket.
General admission for the Spooktacular event is free to the public starting at 6 p.m., and parking will be available at the corner of Meridian Street and Surina Way.
The third annual Halloween Parade will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, and residents and visitors are encouraged to wear costumes and line the parade route for even more trick-or-treating.
Greenwood Parks and Recreation will also close out its first-ever Fall Concert Series, which built on the success of the popular Summer Concert Series.
The final shows of the season will take place at the Greenwood Amphitheater on October 8 with The Nauti Yachtys and October 15 with The 90’s Band. These events are free to the public.
