Greenwood Goes Green is the city’s ongoing initiative to educate, inspire and empower residents and businesses to create a healthy, vibrant, connected community with equitable, environmentally friendly resources and a sustainable economy.

In addition to promoting public awareness and participation for green programming and infrastructure, Greenwood has implemented its own green initiatives. These include recycling bins in city offices, adoption of a green purchasing policy encouraging recycled products where economically feasible, and the use of recycled paper for all utility bills.
