The Honorable Mark W. Myers was born and raised in Greenwood and is a proud father to six children. As well as being Mayor of Greenwood, Myers is a current member of the Johnson County Fraternal Order of Police and served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
A U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program, Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) provide communities with resources to address a wide range of unique development needs. The goals of the program are to provide decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expand economic opportunities principally for low and moderate-income citizens. The CDBG program may only fund projects located in, or programs serving, the City of Greenwood.
