Santa Claus is a big fan of Greenwood. Every year, the jolly gift-giver makes time for an appearance. Children 1 year and under are free. This years breakfast will be at the Greenwood Community Center.

Put on your dancing shoes and grab the little ones for an evening of love, fun and community celebration! February 8, 2019 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

The Easter Bunny is a busy fellow, but every spring, he always makes time for a stop in Greenwood.

Nearly every Saturday evening between June and September, hundreds of Greenwood residents, visitors and their families gather with lawn chairs, blankets and snack-filled coolers to enjoy live performances spanning a variety of musical genres. Concerts take place at the Greenwood Amphitheater in Craig Park.

Come join your Greenwood Parks and Greenwood Fire Department as we enjoy a day where it is not only okay to play in the mud, but it is encouraged! Admission is free. Donations to the Greenwood Parks Department are welcomed. Each donation receives a Free Day Pass to Freedom Springs

As Greenwood’s marquee community event, Freedom Festival draws more than 50,000 people to Craig Park every summer to celebrate the American Spirit. Held on the last Saturday in June, the festivities include a parade, local food, beer and craft vendors, and a kids zone. Indiana's best fireworks show concludes the evening.

Why should humans have all the fun? One of Greenwood’s most popular annual events, Puppy POOLooza welcomes our community’s four-legged friends for an end-of-summer pool party at Freedom Springs Aquatic Center.

Greenwood’s newest community festival is a celebration of all things downtown.

Taking place each fall, Rock the Clock features live music, local beer and wine vendors, food trucks and a variety of ways for residents and visitors to connect with Greenwood’s downtown business community in a block-party-like atmosphere.

The event is free, and all ages are welcome. 2019 Rock the Clock takes place on September 28 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Every Halloween, Greenwood trick or treaters don their costumes for a spooktacular celebration. Monster Mash highlights include trick or treating, bounce houses, music, food, and much more.

Admission is free, and all ages are welcome. Tickets for the Hayride and Hotdog dinner are just $2/person and can be purchased now, online or at the Greenwood Community Center.

2018 Monster Mash will be on October 19 at the Greenwood Community Center.

The City is planning to have our first annual Kris Kringle Market. Support our local businesses and get a start on your holiday shopping! #GreenwoodKrisKringle

Plus, Join us for Greenwood Aglow with holiday craft-making, carriage rides, photos with Santa, tree lighting, and much more. Pictures with Santa are only $1, while all other activities are free.

Planning a Private Event?

If you are planning your own event involving more than 50 people, you must notify the City of Greenwood. The first step is to complete an Event Notification form. You will also need to complete a Noise Waiver.

A $25 Special Event Permit (or $5 Street Closure Permit) and Use Agreement will be necessary if:

  • The event is held on city property (parks and park services are excluded)
  • City services are required (Police escorts, road closures, barricades, etc.)

If you are hosting a running or walking event in Greenwood, you will need to use our standard waiver release for participants.
