Registration is now open for our two-day umpire training session.

This FREE class meets on April 8 and April 15, from 12:30 -2:30 pm, at the new Greenwood Fieldhouse.

This class is designed for umpires who want to work for Greenwood Parks & Recreation. Participants will be required to pass a background check and will be offered conditional employment, provided they pass the course and all hiring procedures.

Registration opens January 22 until all leagues are full.

Enjoy the best adult softball league in central Indiana. Seven regular season games, plus a single-elimination tournament. Craig Park diamonds are closing. Play will be limited to Northeast and Westside Parks. 

2022 Dates: Begins the week of April 25

Volleyball

Adult volleyball leagues are offered during the fall, winter and spring. Leagues consist of eight games and a single-elimination tournament.

  • Fall Session 1: September 18 - October 16, 2022
  • Fall Session 2: November 13 - December 11, 2022
  • Winter Session: January 15 - February 19, 2023 (off on Feb, 12 for Super Bowl)
  • Spring Session: April 2 - May 7, 2023 (Off on April 9 for Easter)
  • Sundays: 2:45, 3:30, 4:15, 5:00, 5:45, 6:30, and 7:15 p.m.

Greenwood Parks & Recreation offers adult indoor volleyball leagues. We offer Summer. Fall 1, Fall 2, Winter and Spring seasons.

Outdoor Pickleball Clinics

5.0 player Jonny Marlin will host a group pickleball clinic up to 16 players at the Greenwood Fieldhouse on March 16th at 12pm.

Open play for clinic registrants between 1pm-2pm

Cost is $20.00 per clinic

Greenwood Parks & Recreation offers indoor open play at the Greenwood Community Center at the following times:

Mondays -- 9-11:30 am ($3 entry fee)

Wednesdays -- 9-11:30 am ($3 entry fee)

Thursdays -- 5-10 pm ($5 entry fee)

Fridays -- 9-11:30 am ($3 entry fee)

Outdoor Play -- Now open

Public play is available for free at the outdoor courts at Craig Park

Bocce Ball League

Love Bocce?? Gather your team of 4 and join us for 4 on 4 recreational bocce ball league. Played outdoors at the Old City Park Bocce Courts. The courts are available for Open Play except during league play sanctioned through Greenwood Parks & Recreation.

Schedule and Standings

Greenwood Fieldhouse Karate Academy

Greenwood Fieldhouse Karate Academy will kickoff on Wednesday, July 6th at 10:00am in the party room at the Greenwood Fieldhouse. Instructor Jovanni Martinez will focus on traditional Shotokan Karate, which uses isometric exercises in combination with footwork to develop concentration, coordination and awareness skills. Youth sessions for ages 4-6. Session #1 will run July 6th thru July 27th. Session 1 cost is $50.00
