Welcome to the website for the City of Greenwood!

GREENWOOD, Ind. – This morning, ERMCO, Inc., one of the top electrical, systems and automation contractors in the U.S., broke ground on its new headquarters in Greenwood. The company will build a 160,000-square-foot facility at the northwest corner of Main Street and Graham Road, relocate 125 jobs from its existing Indianapolis location and add 30 employees to its Greenwood headquarters location.

For the City of Greenwood, ERMCO’s relocation serves as a testimony to its economic development progress. Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers spoke at the groundbreaking event where he thanked ERMCO leadership and addressed attendees.

“We are honored to have been chosen by ERMCO as the host of its new headquarters to bolster their growth, improve their ability to reach those they serve and fulfill their vision for the future,” said Myers. “ERMCO exemplifies the type of company we want to attract and truly showcases how Greenwood has become the city of pride and progress. We are beyond grateful for their active investment in our community and look forward to what is to come.”

The new facility will serve as a showpiece demonstrating ERMCO’s market capabilities and will give the industry-leading electrical, systems and automation contractor room for continued growth. Clients and visitors alike will be able to experience the latest A/V, building management and technology systems in a new demonstration space as well as throughout the building in conference rooms, gathering spaces and dynamic displays. ERMCO is scheduled for move-in by the end of 2022.

The new headquarters will include:

  • 155 office spaces
  • 14 meeting spaces
  • 2,600-square-feet of social space
  • A 102,000-square-foot service center including warehouse space and dedicated space for fabrication and modular construction

“Each time we have relocated, it was done with a vision for the future, and each relocation led to significant growth and an improvement in our ability to meet the needs of those we serve. This move will support and add to that ability,” said Greg Gossett, ERMCO President and CEO.

In addition to its work in Indiana, ERMCO has completed several major projects across the country including the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Urenco USA uranium enrichment plant in Eunice, New Mexico.
