The City of Greenwood, IN

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Today, Mayor Mark W. Myers announced the City of Greenwood will invest $3.9 million in infrastructure upgrades as part of its annual paving program. The paving program will be split into two contracts. The first contract for $2.4 million will be 100% locally funded. The second contract for $1.5 million will be funded at a 50/50 split with the State of Indiana’s Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) program.

“Our ability to move around the community efficiently and safely is vital to Greenwood’s overall economic development and quality of life,” said Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers. “I know that neighborhood roads and major thoroughfares are important to our residents. We are committed to ongoing maintenance to ensure our city can grow and thrive.”

Each year, the city identifies a base set of roads for improvements, along with several alternates that can be added based on bid prices. This year, favorable bid prices and a strong balance sheet will allow the city to pave the base set of roads and all identified alternates. A complete list is below:
