Greenwood Parks & Recreation offers soccer leagues each season, allowing beginners and experienced players to enjoy the game through teamwork, youth competition and fair play.
Spring Youth Soccer
2025 Dates: April 15- June 7
Where: All games and practices take place at Freedom Park. The fields are near the park restroom just to the south of the big hill. Parking is located between the Freedom Springs Aquatics Center and the tennis courts.
Fee: $70 (includes jersey and socks)
Participants: Coed: Youth ages 6-8 and 9-12 (Check out our toddler leagues for your younger children!)

New to the Greenwood Fieldhouse. We are offering a middle school and a high school basketball league this summer. These leagues are designed to prepare players to tryout for their school teams.
Where: Greenwood Fieldhouse

Kevin Owens offers youth basketball skills development with clinics and small group training at the Greenwood Fieldhouse.

Greenwood Parks & Recreation has teamed up with baseball coach Brian McMillin to offer individual and small-group hitting and pitching skills sessions! Brian has been providing hitting instruction for the past 3 years and has coached 16u/17u travel teams. Hitting instruction will be implemented as follows:
1) Lessons are conducted in an age-appropriate manner.
2) Fundamentals will be taught according to the age, skills and abilities of each athlete.
3) Repetition, tee work, building muscle memory will be a primary focus.
4) Advanced movements and increasing “baseball IQ” may also be addressed depending upon the age/experience of the athlete.
Now offering 30-minute lessons for 2 individuals (together) on Saturdays for any time slot between 9-11am. Fees for a combined session will be $25/athlete for the half hour. All individual lessons are 30-minutes long and cost $40 per session. All lessons are paid for in advance and there are no refunds for cancellation or no-shows.
When: Wednesday: Half-hour sessions from 7p.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday: Half-hour sessions from 9a.m. – 12 p.m.

2025 Fall Beginner Baseball
This league is the next step up from Tiny T-Ball. Designed for 6- and 7-year-olds, this league features coach pitching and is played on the artificial turf fields at the new Greenwood Sports Park.

Greenwood Parks & Recreation has teamed up with fast-pitch softball coach Justice Davenport Carmichael to offer small-group hitting skills sessions!
Justice comes highly recommended from our past instructor David Choinacky that recently moved out of state!
When: Selected Mondays: 60-minute sessions from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Where: Greenwood Fieldhouse Auxiliary Turf
Fee: $30 per 60-minute session
Participants: ages 8-18
Elementary Lacrosse Lessons: AJ Ablog will be teaching introductory cradling, scooping, throwing and catching at periodic lacrosse clinics throughout the year. Sessions are limited to 15 participants.

Team Fee: $500 ($250 due at registration, the final $250 can be paid later)
Format: 6 v 6
This 3 week class will introduce and teach beginning archery to children and adults ages 10 and up. Class is instructed by Robert Webber, a multi-certified instructor (Level I & Level II) through USA Archery and a National and State Champion and Record Holder
When: Thursdays - 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Sessions: July 10 - 24 - Other sessions TBD
Where: Greenwood Fieldhouse Auxiliary Turf Field
Fee: $60/session
Participants: Coed: Youth and Adults ages 10 and up
Class is instructed by Robert Webber, a multi-certified Instructor (Level I & Level II) through USA Archery, and NFAA (National Field Archery Association) Member since 1990. Holding championships in National, Sectional and a State Record Holder
Advanced archery participants 18 and under should have taken beginners class or involved with any of the following- 4H, S3DA, NASP programs. Over 18 adults should have at least some archery experience.

We offer co-ed flag football leagues for players ages 6-9 and 10-13. Practices and games are indoors at the Greenwood Fieldhouse. No prior football experience required. This league will help your child foster a love for the game, build friendships on and off the field and learn the fundamentals of the game.
