Looking for before- and after-school child care for your child? Summer camp? Just a day or two out of the house to do something different? We’ve got options!

Before- & After-School Care

Greenwood Parks & Recreation offers fully supervised before- and after-school recreation programs for children in kindergarten through grade five. There is homework time, a daily snack (afternoons only) and games. Children ride buses to and from their schools to the Greenwood Fieldhouse. Bus service is available for VO Isom, Southwest, Northeast and Westwood elementary schools.

Before School 2025-2026 

When: Greenwood Community School Corporation school days: 6:30 a.m. to beginning of school day

Where: Greenwood Fieldhouse

Fee: $80 per month (Program fees are due on the 1st of each month. Payments are considered late on the 15th of the month and your spot will be forfeited.)

Participants: Students in kindergarten through grade five

Registration begins Monday, June 9, 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year! A $25 registration fee is due at time of registration to hold your spot in either or both programs.

After School 2025-2026 

When: Greenwood Community School Corporation school days: End of school day to 6 p.m.

Where: Greenwood Fieldhouse

Fee: $130 per month (Program fees are due on the 1st of each month. Payments are considered late on the 15th of the month and your spot will be forfeited.)

Participants: Students in kindergarten through grade five

Registration begins Monday, June 9, 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year!

A $25 registration fee is due at time of registration to hold your spot in either or both programs.

Ocean Adventurers – Summer Day Camp

Dive into fun this summer at the Greenwood Community Center for Ocean Adventurers! 

Calling all young explorers! Join us for a week of ocean-themed fun, where kids will create sea-inspired art, discover amazing marine animals, and dive into hands-on STEM activities. From crafty corals to exciting science experiments, this camp is packed with creativity, learning, and adventure!

Snack Note:  Your child can bring a water bottle and snack with them daily.  Please no peanuts due to allergies. Science is fun, but it can get messy, so you may also want to send in an apron or smock.

Super Scientists – Summer Science Day Camp

Unleash Your Child’s Inner Scientist at the Greenwood Community Center!

Get ready for wild hands-on science fun! Campers will dive into animal-themed STEM challenges, explore amazing creatures, create ooey-gooey slime, and conduct exciting experiments. It’s the perfect blend of learning, creativity, and messy, scientific fun!

Snack Note:  Your child can bring a water bottle and snack with them daily.  Please no peanuts due to allergies. Science is fun, but it can get messy, so you may also want to send in an apron or smock.

Amazing Artists! – Summer Art Day Camp

Unlock Your Child’s Creativity at Greenwood Community Center!

Give your young artist a summer of imagination and fun! Our Art Day Camp explores a variety of 2D and 3D mediums, from painting and drawing to sculpting and mixed media. With hands-on projects and endless creativity, your child will discover new skills, make new friends, and bring home amazing masterpieces.

Snack Note:  Your child can bring a water bottle and snack with them daily.  Please no peanuts due to allergies. Art is fun, but it can get messy, so you may also want to send in an apron or smock.

Summer Sports Camps

Flag Football 

Flag football is a great way for kids to develop their athletic abilities, build teamwork skills, and improve their overall fitness. Unlike traditional tackle football, flag football is a non-contact sport that emphasizes strategy, skill, and communication. In this four-day camp, we will teach fundamentals of flag football including: passing, catching, running, and flag pulling. Each clinic is designed to be age appropriate (6-8 yrs and 9-12 yrs).

Summer Basketball Skills Camp

Your child will learn the basic basketball fundamentals of dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and playng defense during this four-day clinic at the Greenwood Fieldhouse. Kevin Owens, owner of KO Basketball Elite, teaches this clinic.

Fishing Camp

Join us for this outdoor experience at the Freedom Park pond. You'll learn how to use the pole and reel, to bait a hook, take a fish off the hook, safety practices, etc. And, yes, you'll catch some fish along the way.

Beginner Pickleball Camp

Bob Swisshelm, a professional pickleball referee, offers this camp as an introduction to the country's fastest growing sport.

Tiny T-Ball

This is the perfect first sports experience for your youngster. We'll learn about running the bases, fielding, throwing and, of course, hitting. Join us indoors at the new Greenwood Fieldhouse for this baseball adventure. Some parent participation involved.

This is the perfect first exposure to gymnastics for your youngster. We'll learn beginning tumbling moves which are both fun and the foundation of gymnastics. Join us indoors at the Greenwood Fieldhouse for this tumbling adventure. Some parent participation involved.
