Greenwood Recovery Court was the first drug court in the U.S. to be state-certified. To operate these specialized programs, the judge and the staff of the Greenwood City Court have completed hundreds of hours of specialized training.
No city tax dollars are used to support any of these programs. All are funded by fees paid by participants in the programs or federal and state grants.
The Greenwood City Court also handles other kinds of misdemeanors, such as theft, motor vehicle cases, public disturbances, along with traffic violations.
